Abstract

Objective To evaluate the clinical value of measuring the four tumor makers(CEA,CA125,CA199,CA153)for diagnosis of lung cancer. Methods These tumor markers in serum were measured with chemiluminescence immunoassay in 45 patients with lung cancer,50 benign lung diseases and 30 healthy subjects. Results The level of the markers in lung cancer group were all higher than those of benign lung diseases and healthy subjects. The sensitivity of single tumor marker(CEA,CA125,CA199,CA153)was 53.3%,48.9%,35.6%,37.8% respectively. The sensitivity of combined measurement was 87.6%.Conclusion The combined measurement of serum CEA,CA125,CA199,CA153 significantly increase the sensitivity for lung cancer, and provide useful information for early diagnosis of disease in patients with lung cancer.
