Abstract
Liang Qichao,a generally acknowledged thinker and academic master versed in Chinese and western learning in modern Chinese history,had very complex academic origins.The Ming Dynasty philosopher Chen Baisha had a deep influence on him.As an ancient worthy in his hometown,Chen's influence on him is mainly reflected in three aspects: imperceptible influence during his childhood,Chen's deep national sentiments and Liang's enlightenment by Chen's study of the mind.
