Abstract
Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of infectious diseases after implementation of direct network report, and to master the prevention and control measures. Methods Descriptive epidemiological method was used to statistically analyze the infectious diseases and epidemic monitoring data reported by direct network report system in the First People's Hospital of Zhumadian from January 1,2005 to December 31,2011.Results A total of 8,028 cases of infectious diseases were reported via the network, and most of the cases were category B infectious diseases. The top ten infectious diseases were viral hepatitis, pulmonary tuberculosis,hand-foot-and-mouth disease, syphilis, measles, varicella, epidemic parotitis,HIV,bacterial dysentery and infectious diarrhea. The morbidity was related to epidemic seasons.Children and peasants were the main susceptible population. Conclusions More attention should be paid to the susceptible population and health publicity and education in rural areas so as to reduce the incidence rates of infectious diseases in children and peasants. It is necessary to closely concern the incidence trend of newly identified infectious diseases and suddenly broken out infectious diseases and to apply vaccine immunization early so as to effectively control the spread of infectious diseases.
