Abstract

Objectives To analyze the trend of statutory report on infectious diseases of Shashi District in the year from 2007to 2011,as to provide a scientific basis for formulating prevention and control measures on infectious diseases. Methods Medical records were organized by Excel software.High incidence and high season of infectious diseases and trend of infectious diseases transmitted through different routes were analyzed by descriptive epidemiological methods. Results Reported incidence of statutory infectious diseases increased year by year. The number of reported incidence of category B infectious diseases accounted for a clearly decreased percentage of the total number of reported incidence of three types of infectious diseases, the proportion of category C infectious diseases increased clearly. The situation of prevention and control of new infectious diseases such as foot and mouth disease and influenza A H1N1was grim, and reported incidence of some traditional infectious diseases such as hepatitis B,schistosomiasis and tuberculosis was still high. Conclusions Attention should be paid to the trend of the epidemic situation of the new infectious diseases as well as traditional infectious diseases.Measures targeting these problems should be put forward.
