Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of early hemolytic test in improving the prognosis of newborns with ABO hemolytic disease. Methods 39 newborns with ABO hemolytic disease who were given early hemolytic test in our hospital from June 2010 to March 2013 were selected as observation group, and 39 newborns who were not given early hemolytic test at the same time were selected as the control group, then the total effect rate at 48, 72 h after the treatment, phototherapy time, bilirubin peak and bilirubin at different time after the treatment of two groups were compared. Results The total effect rate of observation group at 48, 72 h after treatment were both higher than those of control group, phototherapy time was shorter than that of control group, bilirubin peak and bilirubin at different time after the treatment were lower than those of control group, the differences were all significant( P0.05). Conclusion The effect of early hemolytic test in improving the prognosis of newborns with ABO hemolytic disease is better, and it can early achieve the goal of disease controlling.
