Abstract

Objective To investigate the application value of a clinical pathway in the treatment of neonatal ABO hemolytic disease. Methods The outcomes of standard clinical pathway for the management of neonatal ABO hemolytic disease were analyzed in 45 newborns(group A),which were compared with those in 45 newborns(group C) who were managed conventionally. Results Compared with group C,the hospital stay was shorter, the hospitalization expenses were lower, and the parents′ satisfaction rate was higher in group A(P0.05).Serum level of bilirubin was decreased after the treatment in both groups. Conclusion A clinical pathway used for the management of neonatal ABO hemolytic disease has obvious advantages of lower hospital stay and expenses, and higher parents′satisfaction rate.
