The study of traditional Chinese opera is pushed forward to scientism and modernization with the stimulation of the inrush of modern western academic thoughts and the debate on the old opera around the May 4th movement in 1919.After the reform and opening up,the study of traditional Chinese opera is diversified and detailed oriented.The interdisciplinary study is one of the important driving forces of the development of traditional Chinese opera.The interdisciplinary study of traditional Chinese opera should clarify the connotation,development process and major achievements,face questions of disciplinary construction and avoid farfetched interdisciplinary studies.The study should stick on the noumenon of traditional Chinese opera.
