Abstract

In recent years,great development of the electric arc furnace(EAF)steelmaking,particularly the DC EAF steelmaking as a new trend has been emerged Various types of AC and DC electric arc furnace have been derived Therefore,the selection of the furnace types shall be performed according to concrete conditions However,the EAF equipment shall be ordered primarily from domestic manufacturers and if necessary,imported from abroad after the careful and overall comparison As the technical level of the second hand and revamped EAF is rather low and the production costs is quite high,though the initial investment is less,may be much more will be paid than grains.Thus,this kind equipment is not recommendable
