Abstract

Synthesis of diphenyl carbonate by transesterification of phenol and dimethyl carbonate is an important green route.Due to its thermodynamically unfavorable condition, catalysts with high activity and selectivity are necessary.Up to date, homogeneous catalysts including organic titanium and organic stannum exhibit better activity and selectivity than heterogeneous catalysts, and compounds of the both show even better catalytic properties. Therefore, development of Ti-Sn heterogeneous catalysts will be a focus in this aspect.
