Abstract
In this paper,defatted silkworm chrysalis was treated about 20 min in water,hydrochloric acid solution(1%) and sodium hydroxide solution(1%) respectively and the structure of defatted silkworm chrysalis was observed by electron optical microscope analysis after treatment.The results showed that:① The protein and chitin expanded after the treatment in water;② Soaked in hydrochloric acid solution,the protein and chitin expanded while a part of protein decomposed;③ Soaked in sodium hydroxide solution(1%),chitin expanded while protein dissolved and decomposed meanwhile;alkalis played an important role in cleaving the interlayer between protein and chitin and could peel off the interlayer of protein and chitin.
