Abstract
Sodium bisulfate can be used as catalyst for the esterification instead of sulphuric acid. Isoamy salicylate was synthesis from the salicylic acid and the isoamyl alcohol in the presence of sodium bisulfate monhydrate. The influent factors of reaction and the reusability of the catalyst were investigated. The yield of the ester could reaeh 923% under amount of substance ratio of salicylic acid\,isoamyl alcohol and sodium bisulfate were 1∶4∶058, refluxed and water segregated for 60 min.
