Abstract

Objective To explore the operative skills and efficacy of microsurgical vascular decompression in the treatment of primary trigeminal neuralgia( PTN). Methods A total of 31 cases with PTN undergoing surgical operation were retrospectively analyzed, the curative efficacy and complications were discussed. Results After the microvascular decompression, symptoms of 34 patients were relieved,no serious complications such as cerebrospinal fluid leakage, one case relapsed. Conclusion Microvascular decompression operation is the primary therapeutic option for trigeminal neuralgia treatment.
