Present Status of the Backup Talents for Fencing Competitions in 2008 Olympic Games

Through using the method of literature, questionnaire and interview, this paper studies the present status and the countermeasures of our country's backup fencers who will go in 2008 Olympic game. The result shows:in china the age of active service fencers is appropriate to 2008 Olympic game.However, to organize a team which can get gold medal in 2008 Olympic game, we must enforce the study of countermeasures, concentrate power on advantage, and make use of the group leaders to improve the entirety. In order to develop our national fencing team, we must make sure the guidance idea in training, improve cognition level, study the regular of win victory in fencing, accent on creating skill and studying rules.
