Abstract
objective To evaluate the efficacy of annular silicone intubation for lacrimal duct rupture.methods 55patients(55eyes) with lacrimal ductlicus rupture were treated with annular silicone intubation. The silicone tube was kept in place for 2 months after sugery. The recovery of funtion of lacrimal ductlicue was evaluated by the end of amean follow-up for 2 months after extraction of the silicone tube. Results Irrigating test of the lacrimal passage showed 48 out of the 55 troubled eyes(87.27%) got cured and 6out of the troubled eyes turned for better(10.98%).conclusion Indwelling annular silicone tube is an useful economical and feasible method to treat the laceration of lacrimal canaliculus, because it has good clinical effect and is prone to extend..
