Abstract
According to different purposes of motion simulations, taking the internal gear pairs as an example, this paper introduces in detail three types of motion simulations under UG software:parametric model simulation,high-quality picture simulation and UG/MOTION motion simulation. The parametric model simulation is mainly suitable to verify the shape of the tooth profile and accuracy of the assembly model;the high-quality picture simulation is limited only to obtain the time-based animation;but the UG/MOTION motion simulation is more advanced type of motion simulation to provide lots of data and chart results for simulation. The results demonstrate that the three types of motion simulations have different practical value in engineering.
