Abstract

Using Streptomyces Chattanoogensis ATCC13358 as a starting strain, treated with the cooperation of UV and microwave.According to the interaction of lethal rate and radiation dose, the optimum dose was determined.A mutant strain was obtained by induced breeding of strain ATCC13588,which was treated with 60 s UV and 50 s microwave, and a natamycin highly producing mutant M102(Penicillinr Nystatinr) was obtained,at the same fermentation conditions, the yield of natamycin was 3.298 g/L and increased about 2.18 times than the original strain's.The mutual strain has a good genetic stability of descendiblity of natamyin production after being inoculated for ten subsequent generations.
