Abstract
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of intravenous injection of metoprolol and verapamil for paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia(PSVT). Methods From April 2003 to April 2006,48 patients with PSVT were randomized into intravenous injection of metoprolol(n=25) or verapamil(n=23) group. Results The effective rate of metoprolol was 80% and verapamil,86%.Conclusion Both metoprolol and verapamil can effectively, rapidly and safely terminate PSVT.
