Soy isoflavones, which are major components of soybean, belong to isoflavonic phytoestrogen. Genistein, daidzein and glycitein are its main constituents. Effects of soy isoflavones on animals production, immune, cholesterol metabolism and antioxidant properties were summarized in the paper.
