Abstract
Objective:To explore the expression and significance ofβ-catenin mRNA in hair follicle cycle.Methods:After the hair follicle cycles of wistar rats were definited,RT-PCR was used to detect the expression ofβ-catenin mRNA in different phages of hair follicle cycle.Results:The hair follicle cycle of wistar rats was last28d,composed of anagen(1~18)、catagen(19~22)and telogen(23~28).β-catenin mRNA was strongly expressed in early anagen,while weakly in catagen and telogen.Conclusion:The expression ofβ-catenin mRNA was altered regularly in hair follicle cycles,which suggestedβ-catenin might be an essential regulative factor in follicle formation and cycle maintenance.
