Abstract
Wang Guowei's jingjie theory is not an inheritance and development of China's traditional artistic conception theory, but its reform under the influence of western philosophical thoughts. Judging by the discussion of Ren Jian Chi Huaand other works, it is a modern conception of western theoretical colouring. Wang's success and failure is a profound enlightenment to us today when localityof theoretical utterance is advocated.
