Abstract

The different number and location of lightning arrester has big impact on the reliability of protection for each equipment in traction substation,simulation software of ATP-EMTP is adopted,through modeling lightning arrester,transformer,transformers and other equipments,then the lightning impulse voltage of each equipment in 110 kV traction substation at different arrangement projects of lightning arrester is simulated.Finally the optimal program of lightning protection of 110 kV traction substation is obtained,that is to set a lightning arrester in front of both PT and the transformer.
