Abstract

The development process and characteristics of land consolidation of foreign countries,the achievements and challenges of Chinese land consolidation in current situation are analyzed in this paper.Then the fundamental goal and development trend are discussed.Increasing cropland,improving the yielding capacity of land,optimizing of land use of city and country-side,improving ecological environment and landscape,developing farmland are proposed as the priority in the future land consolidation.
