Analysis of Hu Shih's Translation Ideas

In recent years,many domestic and overseas scholars are focusing on the study of Hu Shih.The achievements of Hu Shih manifest themselves in many areas: cultural thinking history,philosophy and literature innovation.Hu Shih translated poems and short stories in the vernacular and he put forward his own ideas on translation.Hu Shih's translation ideas had far-reaching influence which helped to modernize Chinese literature and contributed to the development of translation theory and practice both in poem and short story renderings.
