Abstract

Objective To compare the clinical effect of duloxetine and fluoxetine in treatment with first episode depression. Methods From October 2010 to February 2011,76 cases of first episode depression patients were divided into duloxetine group and fluoxetine group, each group with 38 cases. The clinical effect,HAMD,HAMA scores and adverse effect of the two groups were compared. Results There was no significant difference in clinical effect between the two groups(χ2=0.592,P0.05).Compared with pre-treatment,the scores of HAMD,HAMA were significantly decreased after treatment in both two groups(t=3.926,4.137,4.513,6.275,P0.05).Moreover,the scores of HAMD,HAMA in duloxetine group after treatment were significantly lower than those in fluoxetine group(t=3.488,3.951,P0.05).There was no significant difference in adverse reaction rate between the two groups(χ2=1.317,P0.05).Conclusion The duloxetine is equal to fluoxetine in clinical effect but can further low HAMD,HAMA scores, which is an idea drug for first episode depression.
