Abstract
Effects of exogenously application of abscisic acid(ABA,100 mg/L,500 mg/L and 1 000 mg/L) to grape bunches on the content of anthocyanins, total soluble solids(TSS),titratable acid and pH value of 'Jumeigui'grape were evaluated. The results showed that ABA treatment could accelerate coloring and ripening of grape berries, but the content of TSS and individual berry weight were decreased.Anthocyanin content increased significantly with treatment of 500 mg/L ABA,whereas a concomitant decrease in the content of titratable acid was observed. In addition, the content of TSS surpassed the minimum quality standards with 500 mg/L ABA treatment, which also allowed grapes to be harvested 10 days earlier than the control.
