Abstract

Objective To compare effects of simvastatin and fluvastatin on the treatment of hyperlipemia. Methods Sixty patients with hyperlipemia were randomly divided into two groups, as fluvastatin group and simvastatin group. The former included 30 patients who took 20mg fluvastatin once a day, and the latter included 30 patients who took 20mg simvastatin once a day. Both groups received one therapeutic course of 4 weeks. Results Both groups were decreased TC,TG,LDL-C, and increased HDL-C after treatment . There was no difference between two groups ( P 0. 05). No side - effect was found. Conclusion Effect of fluvastatin is similar to that of simvastatin. Both are safe and effective for hyperlipemia.
