Comparative Study on Efficacy of Two Kinds of Operations in Treatment of Fungal Maxillary Sinusitis

Objective To compare the curative effect of antrostomy under the endoscopy by two pathways of sinus and inferior meatus middle plus maxillary and single pathway of Efficacy of Group A was 75.0%,of Group B was 97.1%,on fungal maxillary sinusitis.Methods 63 patients from Shaanxi Electron 409 Hospital during Aug.2005 to Jun.2010 with fungal maxillary sinusitis were randomly divided into two groups:Group A(28 cases)treated with antrostomy under the endoscopy by single pathway of maxillary sinus,Group B(35 cases)treated with antrostomy under the endoscopy by two pathways of middle and inferior meatus plus maxillary sinus respectively.All patients were followed up for 6-24 months.Results There were significant difference between the two groups in efficacy(P0.05)maxillary sinus.Conclusion Antrostomy under the endoscopy by two pathways of middle and inferior meatus plus maxillary sinus is better than that by single pathway of maxillary sinus on fungal maxillary sinusitis.
