Abstract
Quantitative evaluation of the sustainable development of ecological economic is the current hot spots and the front of the ecological study.Ecological footprint analysis method provides a concise and comprehensive approach.Based on the ecological footprint model and caculation method,the ecological footprint of Shaanxi province for the year 2005 is caculated and analyzed in this paper.The result reveals that ecological footprint demand is 1.9310 hm2/cap,while the ecological footprint supply(ecological carrying capacity)is only 0.8018 hm2/cap,so the footprint deficit is 1.1292 hm2/cap;energy consumption contributes to the largest portion of the footprint demand and deficit.
