The Application of Process Approach in Teaching College English Writing ——Taking cet-4 Composition in June, 2011 as an Example

Writing in college English teaching has long been taken as the toughest part and therefore puzzles quite a lot of English teachers.Based on the drawbacks of the traditional product approach, western educators first introduced process approach.Compared with product approach, process approach has many advantages.The application of the process approach can help college students enhance their creative thinking and cognitive abilities.By comparing product approach and process approach, and by analyzing a teaching practice, this article provides rational advice on how to apply process approach in college English Teaching.
