Strengthen Land Consolidation and Promote the Construction of New Countryside

The socialistic new countryside construction is a strategy taken to coordinate the development in city and countryside, a historic task in the process of modernization and a breakthrough point to resolve the problems of agriculture, countryside and farmers. Land consolidation, the inevitable choice for resolving land use issue, the key goal of constructing new countryside, an important means to guarantee the construction of new countryside, refers to the comprehensive management of farmland, water, roads, forests and villages through administrative, economic, legal and technological means in rural regions. This paper, based on analysis of the concept of land consolidation and its significance in new countryside construction, puts forward the focus of land consolidation in China to promote the construction of new countryside.
