Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of nimodipine on patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage. Methods 96 cases were randomly divided in two groups, including control group and therapeutic group(nimodipine group). The score of neurological deficits was measured before treatment,at days 3,7 and 30 after the treatment. And the clinical effect was evaluated at day 30 after the treatment.Meanwhile the volume of hematoma was observed in the two groups. Results The score of neurological deficits and the volume of hematoma ann perilesional edema of the patients in the nimodipine group were decreased significantly when compared to that of the control patients(P0.05 or P0.01).The rate of effect in the theraeutic group was 79.17%(38/48),and 62.50%(30/48)in the control group. There was a obvious defference between the effect of the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Nimodipine can reduce the volume of hematoma and perilesional edema, and improve neurological deficits in the early phase of hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage.
