The May 4th New Culture Movement breaks through the cave of traditional literature and leads in new standards for Chinese poetry creation,which is full of intense debates on and active practice in verse writing because of peoples' different opinions of new poetry and its standard.Bian Zhilin's exploration and creation of Modern Chinese poetry has in some degree reflected the developing characteristics of Chinese new poetry creation affected by both traditional Chinese and modern western poetics.
