This paper expounds Yu Guang zhong's theoretical conception of modern Chines poetry——although Chinese poetry has been modernized, it should have the Chinese characteristics. And it further explains the character, stage, method and poet's subjunctive condition for modern Chinese poetry to have Chinese characteristics.
