The Tri-oriented Functions of Poetry from Han to the East Jin Dynasty and The Evolution of the Poetry Styles

The principles of tri-oriented functions of poetry had been established by Confucian thinkers before the Qin Dynasty,which included the functions in history,politics and education,as well as aspiration and emotion.However,in the Han Dynasty the function of the poetry in politices and educational dominated the ideological arena,so the values of personal emotion and independent spirits were ignored.It was changed a lot in the Wei and Jin Dynasty that the leading position of politicl and educational function of poemtry in the literary world was taken place by the sense of aspiration and emotion.Meanwhile,the poets absorbed the spirits and essence of Classic Poetry in a literary view,which to take on a new look in the literary world of the Wei and Jin Dynasty.
