Abstract
OBJECTIVE To study the expression of β-catenin(β-cat)and E-cadherin(E-cad)and their significance in epithelial ovarian tumors. METHOD Immunohistochemistrv(S-P)was used to detect the expression of E-cad and β-cat in 50 case of epithelial ovarian tumors. RESULTS The abnomal expression of E-cad and β-cat in epithelial ovarian carcinoma were significantly than innocence tumor of the ovary aberrant express rate of E-cad and β-cat rises gradually as theincrease of epithelial ovarian carcinoma histological grade G1-G2、G3(P0.05),in Ⅰ and Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ (P0.05). Expression rate of E-cad and β-cat with lymph node metastasis group is higher than those without metastasis. CONCLUSION E-cad and β-cat may participate in the process of development progression in epithelial ovarian cancer. The abnomal expression of E-cad and β-cat is related with biological characteristic of epithelial ovarian cancer.
