Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical effect of bone marrow biopsy on differential diagnosis for patients with pancytopenia. Methods Myeloid tissues of 21 patients with pancytopenia were taken by myeloid biopsy needle in conventional site of bone marrow aspiration. Blades of myeloid tissue were analysed carefully. Results Bone marrow biopsy imply that most of patients have active or obviously active hyperplasy degree. In 21 patients, there are 15 patients are diagnosed myelodysplastic syndrome,4 patients are diagnosed chronic aplastic anemia, acute leukemia, multiple myeloma and myelofibrosis respectively,2 patients are acatalepsy. Conclusion Bone marrow biopsy could reflect structure of myeloid tissues and distributoin of cells. It has important signficance on differential diagnosis of pancytopenia.
