Abstract
Objective To investigate the significance of bone marrow aspiration and bone marrow biopsy double examinaions for diagnosis of hematological diseases. Methods The 2761 cases with hematologic diseases were analyzed retrospectively, bone marrow specimens were obtained by bone marrow aspiration and biopsy with the same-step method.Marrow aspiration were routinely stained with Wright staining, while marrow biopsy specimens were embedded in plastic were stained with Hematoxylin-Giemsa-Acid Fuchsine(HGF)and Gomori reticular fiber staining,in order to process the hyperplasia degree and morphocytology observation. Results In acute leukemia(AL),aplastic anemia(AA),primary myelofibrosis(PMF),metastatic carcinoma of bone marrow(MCBM),multiple myeloma(MM),chronic lymphocytic leukemia(CLL),chronic myelogenous leukemia(CML),myeloproliferative disorders(MPD)and malinant lymphoma,of which the diagnosis rate of marrow biopsy exceed marrow aspiration(P0.05).while marrow aspiration exceed marrow biopsy, including the typing in acute leukemia(AL)and the diagnosis rate of idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura(ITP)(P0.05).Bone marrow biopsy has a prominent in monitoring bone marrow hyperplasia and fibrosis degree. Conclusion Bone marrow biopsy and aspiration have the themselves advantage and disadvantage aspects,by whose combination has the important value improving the diagnosis rate of diseases.
