Abstract

This paper takes nine control sections of key rivers in Weifang and twenty-one pollution factors as the research objects. According to Basic Analytical Methods of Environmental Quality Standards for Surface Water in China( GB3838- 2002),the water quality comprehensive pollution index is calculated based on the application of Nemerow comprehensive index methods using the 2005- 2009 monitoring data of all the control sections. Then the trend of water quality of Weifang in 2005- 2009 is quantitatively analyzed. The results show that: Yu River,Bailang River and Dan River are the most polluted rivers, whose water qualities are intense pollution; the water quality of Jiaolai River is moderate pollution; the water qualities of Wei River,Wen River and Mi River remain stable in good condition. Through the analysis of the water pollution situation, the main problems of water environmental pollution and the related protection measures improve the water environment are put forward.
