Abstract

The poets of blank verse in the early Song Dynasty are generally poor in the use of allusion. As the first generation in the Northern Song Dynasty cultural renaissance, Wang Yucheng 's poetry is much richer, reflecting the quality progress. But his allusion overall seems monotonous, simply implicative, and not beyond the blank verse. Nevertheless, He did it better after relegation, and got a breakthrough in the extent and depth.
