The Analysis of Wang Yucheng's Influence on Song Poetry

As an important poet of the early Song Dynasty period,Wang Yucheng had a tremendous influence on the formation of Song poetry.In his poems Wang paid attention to reality,managed to deny the value of the Bai style poetry,and directly illuminated the composition of similar poems by such poets as Mei Yaochen and Ouyang Xiu;Wang started laying stress on writing techniques,which was another way leading to the appearance of Song poetry;Wang helped establish the common practice of Song poetry: poetry like prose,and poetry as comment,which later on became the main features of this style of poetry.
