Abstract
Coking wastewater was treated by the compound flocculant with polyferric sulfate and chitosan.The flocculation effects were analyzed by adjusting composition of the compound flocculant,flocculant dosage,pH and stirring rate etc.The results showed that polyferric sulfate-chitosan compound flocculant was an excellent flocculant for coking wastewater and above 70% TOC removal efficiency could be achieved in optimal conditions.The experimental results would be served as technologic basis for large scale application of polyferric sulfate-chitosan composite flocculant.
