Abstract
The antibacterial activities of 77 strains of endophytic fungi isolated from balsam pear (Momordica charantia L.) were screened with Escherichia coli. The results showed that 31 strains of endophytic fungi had presented strong antibacterial activities. Accounting for 62.96 percent of endophytic Fusarium strains had a strong antibacterial activities; another four strains that could not produce spores also had a strong antibacterial activities.
