Breeding of Qianjiao 7,a New Line Pepper Cultivar

With the purpose of breeding of new pepper cultivar with high yield,good quality,high resistance and good merchandise,Mianyang Chaojixianjiaowang was used as material to breed Qianjiao 7,a new line pepper cultivar,by pedigree selection.It was approved by Guizhou Variety Certification Commission in June,2010.Qianjiao 7 was a variety with early-middle maturity,16.44 cm in length,1.7 cm in diameter,12.38 g in fresh weigh,2.80 g in dry weight,9.34 in fruit shape index,high yield and strong disease resistance.The average dry yield of Qianjiao 7 reached 259.18 kg/667m2 in 2007-2008 regional test,which was 10.35% higher than CK.It can be cultivated in areas of Guizhou Province with similar climate.
