Abstract
A graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry for deternination of lead and cadmium in phosphoric acid with mixing test solution by utltrasonic concussion and deducting sample blank by calculation was discussed. It was found that nitric acid had the same effect of matrix modification as mixed acid of nitric acid and phosphoric acid,thus the matrix interference can be removed by simply adding nitric acid into calibration curve solution.At room temprature,samples were stired by ultrasonic concussion in nitric acid for 1h to mix up thoroughly.Lead and cadmium in the test solution were deternined by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry with the detection limit of 0.19 ng/mL for lead and 0.068 ng/mL for cadmium and recovery of 100%-113 % for lead and 94 %-111 % for cadmium.This method is suitable for detecting lead and cadmium in phosphoric acid.
