Abstract
Objective To investigate the role of ICAM-1 and P-selectin in human non-small cell lung cancer. Methods Immunohistochemical staining method (SP)was used to detect the expression of ICAM-1 and P-selectin in non-small cell lung cancer. Results (1)The positive rate of ICAM-1 and P-selectin expression in lung cancer was significantly higher than those of normal tissue;(2)The expression of ICAM-1 and P-selectin in adenocarcinoma was higher than that of the squamous cell carcinoma, the expression of both in stage Ⅲ+Ⅳ was higher than that of stage Ⅰ+Ⅱ;(3)The positive expression of ICAM-1 in patients with lymph node metastasis was higher than no lymph node metastasis, but P-selectin is not. Conclusions ICAM-1 and P-selectin might be associated with metastasis in lung cancer.
