Abstract

In the developing history of modern Chinese poetics,Zhu Guangqian and Liang Zongdai were two critics with distinctive characteristics representing two totally different trend of value.Zhu Guangqian took up the viewpoint of enlightenment,with the basic method of interpreting Chinese poetics by western theory,while Liang Zongdai emphasized the communication of the Chinese and western poetic theory from the view of inditation and the interest of personal taste.The differences result in their differnt understanding and value judgement of poetry and poetic theory,and then influence the construction of modern Chinese poetics.
