Abstract
Porcine interferon-gamma(PoIFN-γ) cDNA was cloned by RT-PCR from porcine lymphocytes in peripheral blood. The recombinant plasmid(pPICZα-PoIFN-γ) encoding PoIFN-γ gene was constructed and transferred into Pichia pastoris X33 strain.A high level expression of PoIFN-γ in the recombinant Pichia pastoris was detected by SDS-PAGE analysis and Western-blot assay. The recombinant PoIFN-γ can protect the porcine kidney cells(PK-15) from the attack of vesicular stomatitis virus in vitro and significantly enhanced the immune response of pseudorabies virus vaccine in pigs.
