Abstract

The optimization experiment of extraction of polysaccharide from millet was investigated. In the experiment, polysaccharide yield was taken as an index, particle and powder,liquid-solid ratio, extraction time, extraction temperature, extraction times and stirring rate in the extraction process were studied.Based on the single factor experiments, the effects of different extraction temperature, extraction time and liquid-solid ratio on the extraction yield of polysaccharide from millet were optimized with orthogonal design. The result shows that the optimum extraction parameters are as follows: extraction temperature is 70 ℃,extraction time is 2.0 h and liquid-solid ratio is 20:1 at powder, stirring rate 150 r/min and once extracted.Under the optimum conditions, the polysaccharide yield is 7.76 mg/g.
