Abstract

This paper puts forward the architecture of PDM(product data management) based integrated fixture design system and studies information flow model for CAD,CAPP,PDM,CAFD and CAM. Fixture design model composed of function,principle and structure mapping model is presented and PDM based integration functions and method are analyzed. A PDM based fixture aided design prototype system is developed. The system can support fixture design efficiently.
