Abstract

A paraffin wax emulsion was prepared with high speed dispersion mill as emulsifying equipment,58# technical grade refined paraffin wax as raw material.Factors on property of paraffin wax emulsion such as composition as well as HLB of emulsifier,dosage of emulsifier,emulsifying temperature,rotation speed and emulsifying time were investigated.The optimum emulsifying conditions for preparing paraffin wax emulsion were:using blended emulsifier(Span80,K12 and A) with HLB value of 11,dosage of emulsifier 7%,emulsifying temperature 85 ℃,rotationl speed 2×2 800 r/min,emulsifying time 1 min.
